Olivia J. Hughes

Olivia Hughes has lived in Greensboro, NC since childhood and considers it her home. Olivia graduated from the University of North Carolina Wilmington in 2017, and graduated, magna cum laude, from Elon University School of Law in December 2025. She was admitted to practice law in North Carolina in April 2026. While in law school, she served as the Membership Editor for the Elon Law Review, participated in Parents Attending Law School, and was awarded membership into the National Order of Scribes.

Before beginning her legal career, Olivia taught mathematics at Page High School in Greensboro from 2018 to 2022. Her experience there strengthened her commitment to advocating for adolescents and continues to inform her practical, client-focused approach as well as her ability to communicate complex issues clearly. Olivia is just beginning her practice as an attorney and currently assists clients with a range of legal matters.

Olivia is actively engaged in the Greensboro community. She and her family are closely involved with ‘A Special Blend,’ a local nonprofit coffee shop that provides employment to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, she is on the Board of Trustees for Noble Academy, and she has volunteered with the Guilford Green Foundation & LGBTQ Center. Olivia also previously led historical ghost tours of downtown Greensboro.

In her free time, Olivia enjoys watching women’s hockey, spending time at the beach, and skating with her family. Her favorite place, however, is at home with her wife and son, their two cats, and their dog Abe (Abraham) Lincoln.
